Following up on two successful events on recent advances in the stem cell field, Eppendorf is hosting the Stem Cell Community Day 2019. This year’s event will be held on November 21 at the Oitavos hotel in Cascais alongside the Sintra Mountains and Europe’s most westerly point (20 minutes west of Lisbon, Portugal).
As tiny as a stem cell might be, as enormous is its potential.
We invite all researchers from industry and academia to discuss recent challenges, opportunities, and achievements in stem cell bio-processing with a special focus on controlled cultivation in stirred-tank bioreactors.
This year’s Stem Cell Community Day will be chaired by Paula Alves, PhD, CEO of iBet – Instituto de Biologia Experimental e Tecnológica, Oeiras, Portugal. Further confirmed speakers are Margarida Serra, PHD (iBET), Felix Manstein (Hannover Medical School) and Arie Reijerkerk (Ncardia). Check our WEBSITE for program and speaker updates.
Our scientific program includes an optional introductory stem cell workshop and presentations on challenges in bioprocess engineering and scale-up of stem cell culture, process controls and analytics as well as successful translation and commercialization. Lunch and coffee breaks will be provided. We will end the day with a dinner buffet and awarding the poster prize.
The Stem Cell Community Day invites scientists from academia and industry to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations describing original research on appropriate topics. A jury will select the best three posters based on their scientific content and presentation. Have a chance to be awarded with the Eppendorf Stem Cell Community Day Poster Prize and win 1,000 EUR by submitting your abstract by October 1st.
Registration is free of charge and includes conference material, lunch, dinner buffet, coffee breaks and beverages. Travel and accommodation are not included.
We are excited to welcome you in Lisbon as we embark on a new journey towards the future of stem cell research!
